    a buddy of mine gave me some cool looking metal, gona try to make a new face for the dash.

    its a hair thicker than the dash. i used air sheers to cut the out side.for the inside? gotta work on that..........

    I would think you could use a hole saw to get the main part of the material out and then use your air sheers to trim out the rest. Just match up the proper radial size hole saw for the corners and it should not be to bad. The turn signal area will be the most difficult area. Don't know if you have any machine shops around you but they could possible mill out the smaller areas for you fairly cheep.

    Just my thoughts.

    Id try an air saw or maybe an assortment of sharp cold chisels or both, maybe leave enough extra to roll the edges like a slim 1/8" to help stiffen it up ? Use tape as a guide. Its cool stuff and its fun to try stuff like that, good luck with it.

    Would be nice to be able to press the raised shape back into the new sheet metal, but that also requires tools and a decent press.

    Always cool to have fun with stuff like this.
