Get the Dewalt sawzall ... I have mine and is battery-powered. However, I've found the electrical sawzall to be the better option. With the bettery-powered sawzall ... you would be best going with 2 or 3 extra battery packs all charged ! I've learned from my first try with only one battery - take my word for that.

I really dont know much on the cordless stuff Millwaukee makes one hell of a cordless drill. I own a Millwaukee sawsall but has a cord. I would run from the HD robie garbage batts only last 5 min or so, I have a few friends that got burned thinking the free flashlight was a good deal! The only power tools I buy are makita or millwaulkee. You get what you pay for.

Bill,
After I posted I went to LOWES and got a couple of every brand they had. Just so happens I tried one of the the Milwaukee blades first and cut up the rest of the van with that one blade. I was very happy! So, going with the Milwaukee from now on and "The Van" is done and in a pile. Scrap metal guy comes next week to pick it all up.....
Dan

If you are cutting parts out in the yard, make sure to have plenty of batteries!
It took 3 trips with 3 batteries to get 4 big chunks off.

Re: off Topic=?? Maybe -maybe Not
Home Depot has a special kit from Ryobie that includes the sawzall, a drill, a circular saw, a flashlight, a vacuum and a carry all bag, two batteries and a charger. I bought two kits and use them professionally everyday. They are 18 volt, don`t buy anything less than 18 volt.
I have several Milwaukee tools when I am doing something heavy for a few hours. The cordless tools are great for getting in close and you can`t beat the price. I finally had to replace the two batteries in one kit, but that was after 3 years of hard use. Since they are carried by Home Depot, replacement parts are readily available and reasonable in price. Just my 2 cents worth. Art

I have a Makita, a Milwaukee and a Dewalt. The batteries in the Makita seem to last a lot longer than the other two. All of mine are 18 volt.

We at the fire dept. have Milwaukee's onboard all of our engines and rescues. They seem to be the strongest and most reliable. A lot of our firefighters have construction side jobs. We use a lot of the same types and brands that we use in our "other life" that we have found reliable. Just my two cents! Happy Valentines day!!! Larry in East China Mi.

Re: off Topic=?? Maybe -maybe Not
Matt, You're in Spokane? That's where my A-100 came from. The fellow lives out on a farm somewhere near the city. Man it's been a while.. We had just taken delivery of our 94 Dodge Ram 1500 van. Didn't have a thousand miles on it and off I went with a trailer in tow! I'm sure you'll be happy with the Milwaukee unit. Turn on a few of them very slowly, trying to just keep it running. That's when you can feel the "quality". It will move and operate smoothly and with lots of "low end torque". try different ones, I know you'll feel the difference. I have a Bosch sabre saw that's the same caliber (quality wise). It starts S-L-O-W-L-Y but with strength. Let me know what you think after you've tried it on a couple of them. When I did ceramic tile I had (have) a Milwaukee Magnum Holeshooter and a Whole Hog right angle Heavy drill. The Magnum was used when I got it. I've put about 500,000 screws (no exageration) and with the used whole hog, I've mixed literally TONS of thinset mortar with a 4 bladed paddle filled in a 5 gal. bucket! They are really beat up but still perform flawlessly. IMHO Larry in East China Mi.
