I'm trying to figure out the cheapest way to ship these doors from CA to CO. Has anyone used fed ex? They are saying they're about half of what Greyhound wants, but I heard there could be sur charges...

Re: Anyone shipped doors before???
I've shipped two from Tennessee to upstate upstate New York for around $60.00 using Fedex ground. I got a box big enough to ship both from a local body shop. I ship a lot of my bigger items with Fedex ground. I've had good service from them. I wouldn't ship on greyhound ever. Our terminal is nothing but idiots. I just sent two boxes with body parts again to upstate NY and they cost $75.00 or so.

Re: Anyone shipped doors before???
With Fed Ex Ground(not Express) anything not in a box gets an $8 surcharge tacked on to the price. Its new and I just found out about it. Nobody in their right mind would ship good doors not boxed up. Its just asking for damage.
