you need to check the box to see which direction the gears turn.

Find the set up made by Sparky. its a good job of an integral box install

ya I never thought of it either and paid $75 for a box I couldn't use.

The later G vans and Astro vans have a box that goes the right way. You need to find onw that has a short pitman shaft so you drag link stays close to the frame. I think Astro van box in the mid 90's was lookin good.
And you will have to either search or weld up a pitman arm for the job. I think sparky commented on pitman arm length. Pay attantion to that detail

was thinking of p.s. when i test drove the van. both wrists are shot so p.s. is a must. i had considered using a rack, coupled to tie rod ends and fabricating an arm and linkage to connect to steering box. havent measured or checked to see what all is in the way so just thinking outloud but seams way simpler and cheaper. BIG to do list before i evan crawl under and look but it will have p.s. next winter.

my 'easy' solutions usually end up like that. if you remember why, please let me know. i am way to stuborn to just accept it cant be done without a reason. the other way looks like a lot of time and money. a kit sure would be nice.

Anybody look at these to put in the steering shaft between steering wheel and steering box ? some buggy guys were using them. you don't need the rack box you already have a steering box on the van.
