I am in Southern California and looking for an Econoline van early to mid 60's. I don't mind going to another location and drive it back, but must be convinced it will make the drive before I go very far out of S C. More interested in stock condition than customized. Would like original drive train and restore the rest to suit myself. I need to be driving it while I restore. Thanks for any feedback.

That's a real nice panel! Welcome bobj! SoCal has some best condition earlies... a Brit on another board just had one shipped, another in Ohio recently from SoCal complete with black widow spiders... many online comb through various for sale sites for early vans and post them in the forum, so keep your eyes peeled! Good luck!

Re: looking for van
I guess I will have to keep looking. The van is in very good condition for how it is restored. Very clean body and drive train. It has been modified to a 302/automatic so that takes it off of my list. A few stock items missing but if you want that kind of set up he is asking $6800. If it were a 6 cyl/3 speed I would have definately made him an offer, even with the missing items. I am going to Pomona Sunday to look around. There were three or four there last time I was there. Do you know when the next auto swap meet is happening at Qualcom? Please keep me in mind if you see something. No problem going to S D to look.

Re: looking for van
QualCom will have a Swap Meet there Nov 16th,,,,,,I don't see too many Vans there,,,,,If you go to LINKS on our front page, there are Ford sites on there,,, The big Ford roundup is at the RoseBowl in April,,,,,,,San Diego has the Big 3 swap meet in February,,,,,, there are always Vans for sale in our forum listings. If I see a Ford for sale in my travels,,,,I'll let you know. So you want a running van???? A panel or with windows??? How about a pick up? Does it have to be a Ford?

Re: looking for van
Thanks for the reply on the swap meets. I am looking for a running van. It doesn't absolutely have to be a Ford. I am open to a window van. I plan on watching this site as often as possible for something. I can make repairs but not so much on body work. I lean toward a straight body with mechaincals to fix than the other way around.

Re: looking for van
I'm going through a local guy to try to replace my crankshaft pulley. I haven't gotten big into internet commerce yet. That's just me.
