Re: bears 1966 no-door work pics
thats as far as i am on this van outside body work done.needs the inside work yet.i had the van running new carb all i needed was to seal the gas tank and flush the trans. but i stored it at my mother in laws house 1n 2009 she died in 2010 jan 23rd my wifes brother who is a crack head and did not like what his mother left my wife. filled my in-line with sand the trans and gas tank big set back for me rt now BUT when the estate sells the lawer told me he lived there there was nothing wrong with when i parked it so his money he gets will be ducted the cost of fixing my van.and there is nothing he can do about. he is so bad the mother in law put in her trust that he is never to receve any money just have what he needs paid for by my wife she controls his money. how sad is that. that useless F#%K stole from his mother every time he had a chance.

Re: bears 1966 no-door work pics
I was going to put the 283 in the 1970 with a turbo 350 trans I had built up with a shift kit and running a stall converter to match the cam.but i got the 4x4 bug on the 70.so i will put the 283 and trans in my 66 no-door this should spice it up a little.my plan on the 66 is paint it black inside and out been toying around with puting a oak floor in the back with the crome ribs like in a old pick up.or keep it stock when i was at bakers i saw a ford no-door that way all bone stock looked nice.i have a original set of round mirrors and arms to put on it.i will take the rear end from the 70 and have it bult up posi and a gear to match the motor/trans so when i get off the line it should curl the wifes hair.

Re: bears 1966 no-door work pics
Finding one may take a while, I have seen people mod the stock ones wider , that way it wouldn't hold you up. As far as making it removeable I would just do that no matter which way you go. You'll be glad you did the first time you have to work on it

Re: bears 1966 no-door work pics
Heres an option if you want to go to the darkside a little , an A100 DH. might have to play with the rad mount a little bit but definately removable.

Re: bears 1966 no-door work pics
this was a fire truck in OR. so the inside is surfice rusted up and i need to pull a few roof bows and clean them up. i think this is the way to go going to pull motor/trans and gas tank and remove the dog house.i guess i will use the one from my 1970 for time being.hope to dig into next month been installing a tankless hot water and all new copper pipes in the new house last 2 weeks should have it up and running tomrrow i spend more time going back in forth to home depot for this and that went tonight and some dum ass put wrong fitting in bin and my dum ass picked it up if not for that i would have finnished it tonight.

Re: bears 1966 no-door work pics
UPDATE. i had to get a few quote on what it will cost to fix the damage caused by my wifes brother.on my 1966, to pull the motor, trans, gas tank, and have everything gone through and rebult a little over $6000.00. went and showed the lawer who is working on the trust with my wife.he told me no worries he will cut me a check next month. O by the way WE FINALY SOLD HER MOMS HOUSE. thank good ness for that.so need less to say a lot of work will be geting done on my 66-no door farmed out work. I NEED YOUR GUYS IN PUT HERE. should i keep the van bone stock and have the in-line 6 and power glide rebult and put back in ?? or put my 283 v-8 and turbo 350 trans in it?? also wile i am at it LETS PUT IT TO A VOTE ON COLOR. i love billskis SILVER he told me what is was. OR i like the color BLACK .i am chromeing the bumpers, head light rings and puting tail light rings on it to. so please tell me what you guys think om color.
