by virtual Sat Dec 18, 2010 7:10 amThe annual Council of Councils van convention is being held in Buena Park California Feb 18-20 2011. The Left Coast Vanners will be once again hosting this great event.
The fun will actually start earlier for many as vanners will be arriving up to a week in advance. there is a tour planned to go to George Barris' shop on the Thursday and there will be seminars on Thursday and Friday. There will also be a van show on Saturday Feb 19th after the meetings, approximate start time is 1:00 pm. This event is open free to the public and there is no charge for the vans in the show. We'll have some amazing vans there but the show is open to everyone with a custom van so bring it down and you'll get a free dash plaque , a goodie bag, be eligible for door prizes and show awards. The show is being funded by proceeds from the 2011 Showvans calendar. We've invited a good bunch of vanners (I have also sent a personal invite to Chebby for this, hope she can make it), van owners and media to the show it should be a great time. A few vanners will also be getting up bright and early for the Donut Derelict Cruise in Huntington Beach. That starts at 5:00 and runs til 8:30 am. Then we'll shoot back in time for the meetings to begin.

No matter how we get there.... it's sounds like a wonderful Vanning experience! I look forward to meeting as many of you as possible in PERSON! 
Good news is, if the weather is bad, the business will be closed and there is no reason (except for sickness or health) I can't go (as long as I get the new pads put on my brakes, safety first), but the BAD news, if we get snow, I am incllined to stay put... I worry not about MY driving ability, but all those other stupid people out there who will drive on a 2 lane highway like a summer dry day
