Doing a run of shirts, bumper stickers, and magnets. Who would want some? Should be getting the samples soon, so I could post some pics. Should be $10 to $20 depending on size for the shirts. toad

The site offers T-shirts as a way to support itself. While its a nice gesture,I wouldnt think it would be right to deplete the sites sales by making others that specifically say VintAGE-Vans on them. I could be wrong but thats how I see it unless of course proceeds were for the site.

Toad didn't say they were Vintage-Vans.com shirts, just Vintage Vans. Maybe they just have Old Vans on them. Let's see what he is offering, when the Official Vintage-Vans.com shirt is ready I'm getting one of those too.

Lowbrow Customs has some pretty cool shirts too..

I just noticed they also have an Econoline patch and sticker.

Whats going on with the "site" T-shirts? seem's like a long time from the last post about new design.
I am sure they would sell very well here, and suport the site at the same time, but they have been a long time coming..
I get Tshirts for our business here and they are done from start, design, to finish in a few weeks.
If there is a problem with who ever is getting them I would be glad to help if needed.

Maybe I took this wrong. I assumed they were specificaly site T-shirts. It certainly woudlnt be the first time I was wrong. I wasnt trying to cause problems either, just trying to be sure we were all on the same page.

I'm not making these for profit, just my cost and shipping. I cleared it with Chebby a couple of months ago. Getting them with the van logo above vintage-vans.co. Didn't mean to cause such a stir. If its gonna cause problems or interfere with the site. I won't do it. toad

toad I think it's more of a issue that most would not buy from both. And that would take away from the site. We run on a shoe string budget here mostly donations from members. Alot of member never donate and costs to run this place goes up I'm sure

Hey Toad, looks like the thing to do is to add a 'royalty fee' to the cost of the items and donate it to the site. I would gladly be up for that!

I've thought a few times that this site should have a gas gauge that would let us know when were running on empty. But it would just turn into one more thing to maintain. When / if this site needs money that isn't in the bucket I hope it gets posted.

Everyone likes to party, but we all have to pitch in for beer.

I say let Toad post his shirts without the royalty, it's up to all of us to keep up with donations, there's no reason for Toad to have to collect them and do it for us.

toad is just trying to hook members up with a cool t-shirt and there no harm in that. Like I pointed out earlier most can't buy from toad and the site. The shirt will be here soon. I'm pretty sure Vanish fronts the money to buy the shirts and has to wait from all of us buying t-shirt to re- cope his money before any profit goes to the site. I see no harm toad selling t-shirt but would like him to hold off a few months after VV site t-shirts come out.

Hmmm, if Chebby is OK with it then I see no reason not to make the shirts Toad. I think it is great that everyone is concerned about the site but we should leave it between Chebby and Toad..

I still don't want to hurt the site or have Vanish sit on his shirts too long. Maybe just a special run. but Chebby did say "Yes, feel free to use the logo anyway you like! Very Happy That's just free advertizing for us, right? Wink " Oh, where to go..... Question Very Happy

I'm the one who dropped the ball on this. We agreed on a design for the shirt and I have to ink it. Something else always comes up, but that's no excuse. I'll check in with Chebby on this.

First of all let me say that toad is more than welcome to make his shirts, use the VV.com logo, and see if anyone would like one or two or??? I don't expect any royality for the site either... It's his gig, and something he wanted to do Wink

Yes, we do tack on a few $$ above cost and shipping to support the site, but we don't even see that until after Vanish has made his money back which takes more than half of the tees we have made up. (we still have a handful of the old batch left)

After all the discussion about the new logo, etc... I have been working with Vanish since late Sept. to get some tees made up in time for Christmas... Things didn't go a smoothly as we had hoped (like to have them done last month) because of the printers, but if nothing else goes wrong, I'll have them the beginning of next week!

We were trying to keep it a surprize, but oh well Rolling Eyes try at least to act surprized, K?

I'll start a new thread with a sneak peek and a few details... Come on over!

Scott, if you was to see our gas guage on a month to month basis, well, it's not all that pretty.... especially around March when the gallery bill is due LOL! Let's just say, we get from town to town by the seat of our pants most of the time, but we get there....

I support toad's endevores and would really like to see his stickers and such! Very Happy
