Runs.. sort of.
The Bad:
* It's a 194ci w/ Turbo 350. Only 1st & 2nd gears work, no reverse.
* Body is rusted through about half way around the back drip rail.
* Upper windshield frame rusted out as is the pillars behind both front doors
* Lifted with blocks only (Welded to axles. ).
* Both windows mech's a bad.
* Gas tank is non-functioning.... He's not sure why.
* Engine lowered 4in. blocks also welded in.
* Pitman arm extended with a piece of pipe.
Guess that's enough. But there is lots more..........
The Good:
* Engine runs good.
* All glass is good.
* New 3:73 gears in limited slip rear-end.
* Wheels are Ansen 15" 2- 8", 2- 10". 3 1/2 back spacing.
* Tires are very good (Thorn burg mudder's) 31's up front & 34"s in back.
* B&M ratchet shifter.
* Both bumpers are ok. (Front has a few dent but fixable)
* Solid side doors with a little rust at bottom's.
* Seats are rusted out but covers are good.
* Radiator is good.
* Springs are good
And there's more here as well.
We have agreed on a price on it for parts "IF"... they can find the title....

OK, I'm home.....
Yep, I know I said I was going to stay the night. At 3:40 am I woke up and decided it was time to go.....
It's 312 miles one way and 3hrs & 45min. I was there.. Love driving at night!
Spent 2 hrs getting it on the trailer. Will tell you the long version later, but let's just say if not for the come-a-long.... Think you get the idea! Yeah! It didn't run......
Had it loaded by 11 am and had worked up on hell of a sweat so figured I'd just head home. At 60 mph it took 6 1/2hrs to come back....
Just walked in. Will post pic's tomorrow. I'm spent!!!

It really took some engineering to get it that high! Wonder how it handled in high winds? You would think they could of figured out a better route for the gas and brake line though since they are kind of important when your tromping through the woods? Cool shifter.

It looks like a standard GM 12 bolt. I can't tell the difference anymore between the truck rears and the passenger car rears. The rear cover is an aftermarket one designed to stiffen up the bearing caps. The set screws tighten up to the caps then get locked down with jamb nuts. It looks like the backing plates are on wrong. The holes for the E-brake cables should be at the bottom. Must have been tough to bleed the wheel cylinders. Hope you get some good parts from that one.

It has an extra gusset on the front part of the pig compared to my 65 12 bolt. looks allround heavier, do the axle housings drop in size at the hub flange as much as the van axles? Im guessing its a newer truck (less old) unit. Going to need more numbers off it, those are foundry casting numbers from what I have gathered so far.

I'll see if I can put more numbers off the rear end today. Yeah, lots of hinky stuff going on with this one. Very entertaining to go through it. Finding new stuff everywhere I look. I've flipped a few rear axles in my day, but have never seen a front drop strait axle flipped before! Hei Distrib., Loker shift cable (Looks to be about 120"). Guages are Autometer (Speedo,Tach, Fuel, Volt, Water & Oil). Tranny is a Turbo-350 (3rd and reverse are bad) but a nice hanger made for our vans. Seats are shot but the covers are in xlt condition (Driver's & Pass Jump seat).Dash panel has been cut out and replaced with a full Diamond plate panel. Braided brake lines up front and springs for the Sportvan!
Also the front end below the windsheild is good. So B.W! Going to get that G10 bar started this winter sometime.

Chris,
I have to admit I've gotten a bit carried away (like you guys haven't noticed) but when I get the Panel & Sportvan where I want them there's going to be one hell of a sale!
I mean I have enough that if I found a good van body, completely gutted. No glass, doors wiring, drive train or axles. I could easily build it! Maybe two.
I get a lot of funny looks when the guys come over... Yep, they think I have a problem too! But all I know is when I look at everything, I feel like a kid in a candy store and thats all that matters......
Dan
