I am thinking of putting a 240 in the 61 Econo pickup. It will have Clifford Performance 6=8 cam, headers etc. and an Offenhauser intake and I need to know if this carb will be too much carb for it. I really like the way it looks and want to put a bonnet on it with cold air intake like the one on my 65 Econo.

or would this one be better:

I'm running a built 300 (headers, ported, big valves, cam, intake, etc., etc.)...and am running a 390 Holley. No way I'm under carb'd and sometimes I think I'm over carb'd.
