What is it's gear ratio? Were you happy with it's performance?

i destroyed it from burning the tires off it. i was happy it went down the road i never ran it hard except for the occasional big big burnout

i need a gear thats gonna handle that better i suppose. but i dont even know where to look for replacement parts for this rear end at. i thought about just changing it out to a different rear end which isnt at all above my skill set

i dunno will gears out of a later model ranger fit in the rear end?

Do you have the nine inch rear or the stock 7.25 rear?

I was told that 80's Mustangs had the same size rear end... never really checked but........ if they do, there would be your ring and pinion....

everyone knows you can't put a peanut rear end behind a V8. You need a 9"

Dont even try to patch that little rear end up. Look for a 9" out of an early, bolt right in and go.

Yep!! The nine inch is the way to go. You will never keep a 7.25 together with a V-8
