Can anyone post a photo that shows how the dog house lid/top support rod is attached? I am trying to install/replace one in my 1967 Custom Sportsman.

No, the rod is about 2 half feet long, with a loop at one end (for a bolt) and a dog leg crook to place in a hole on the other.

my 66 is the same way, attached at the center of the lid.
The 68 parts has a rod on one side, but is not like the one Ron shows.

I gather the bracket, the bolt goes through is spot welded onto the lid?
