lowered
I lowered it by taking the second long spring out in the front, And in the back I flipped the smallest bottom spring and put it on the top of the stack, Pinched it together and it pushes the rest down and it dropped it about 1-1/2 inches all around. tires are 215 14'S. I will post some pics with my hardware back on. Parade is today.

Re: New 63 Econoline owner in ca
Did you guys notice my steering tube...I was gonna sand it for paint and said to hell with it and just kept sanding till I got to 1000 grit and it was polished. Added some metal polish and sealer and wa la !!!! looks like chrome and so far has not even as much as got a rust pit. just add sealer once in awhile. Again thanks to many helpful threads that I learned lots of useful info. Thanks again guysl

No rubbing issues. It is a tiny bit bumpy on bumps but it rides very nice. Hey southernman, I was gonna go with a look like your old look but came up with this, I think your old look was sweet. The heater ducts are from my buddys truck he was parting out. the are perfect 47 year old hoses. what a gift huh. I put a later heater core and put the switch under the floor and put a cable pull on the right side switch instead of the stock twist model, I could not find the core of the switch anyware and wanted to keep the heater box.. So you gotta do what you gotta do. It works killer blows hot and hard. Thanks for all of the compliments from everyone. It has been fun and so far it does get some looks. I finished all of the rubber today and cut and installed all of the dood panel covers, just need to cover then and they will be done. also layed sound proof under carpet pad in cab area with a little help from my son who is really diggin the van now. I am ramblin now.
good night,
Johnny

More pics interior....Today
I glued that interlocking foam floor on the walls for sound deadiner, then added the h.depot foil air bubble ins. very tight very quiet. Covered the doors with the same as above and it is sweet as well. also tightened the doors up and made them very solid.I will post as I go!!! Have a look.
Got a little crazy with the pics. It is very easy once you got the hang. had to throw in some befors too. I gotta post in I seen a van, as i seen some vans lately.
Can someone tell me if there is an adjustment for the emerg brake as I have to pull mine all the way to the top and it still is just there. thanks in advance. Still so much to do. Gotta get some tunes. Tired of singin to my self.

Re: New 63 Econoline owner in ca
The adjustment is at the yoke where the cable splits to each brake drum. Loosen the set-nut and adust to slack tight with the brake handle at the bottom of its travel. I've had to adjust some twice inorder to get the "good feel" and stopping power. These cables have stretched over the years. Also the thicknes of the brake shoe plays a role. When new the holding power will be tighter than when worn.
