these pics are a little old i have done quite a bit of work since just slacked on the pics. this is the starting point of my ugly little baby though doing some mild body work, making some custom tube bumpers for it, getting the radiator cleaned out and put back in etc. soon i want to panel the interior and have my seats re upholstered etc. still have trouble with lack of power under load though... will post on the "between the seats" and see if anyone can help on that.

Mine started out on a budget....but then you need this, that and the other thing and your missing something else....but it's a lot of fun getting dirty...a stress reducer for me. One bolt at at time and a lot of clean rags. 44 years of 1/8" oily road grime to clean off.

this is very true. its called the "might as well" sickness haha example you pull your motor you might as well paint your engine bay etc. the whole purpose of this build for me is function. with my last hot rod build i was younger and just wanted it as fast as can be and pretty now i miss the days of ugly primer, interior that doesnt matter and a simple decent mpg engine that runs strong. i plan to drive the wheels off this thing and use it for regular duties. picking up lumber running to the dump etc. just want it to be reliable and perform as good as possible without fancy performance parts that cost a trillion dollars.

My goal is to make it safe. Good brakes and a reliable motor is all I'm after. Paint will come eventually. Need a spare car for the summer when my daughter is home form college....assuming she can get a job...I can drive the van. I did the same things, radiator was 1st, well you have everything off might as well change the water pump. Then my buddy hooked the battery up in reverse and I blew the alternator so I went to a newer one and got rid of the voltage regulator. Fuel pump was next and going to electronic ignition as soon as I do my dual master cylinder conversion..did I say I like to have good brakes??

These vans have had many owners over the years some good some bad. It takes a while to fix poor workmanship and bad repairs and poor manitance . As you know these vans are a labor of love to get the bugs out. Looks like you have a good start. Keep those pic's coming

Not bad not bad! My van started out low budget as well, my dad bought it from an auto parts store, it was just sitting out front! He slapped a coat of green Rustoleum on it and had a nice daily driver! Then about a decade later he decided to start restoring it and we got it painted the stock color again.

By the way that isn't an A100 thats an A108. Longer wheelbase then A100. You can tell because there is a larger space between the front door and the side doors.

Also- (sorry for the constant comments) would you be willing to sell your stock bumpers and if so how much? (are they chrome?)
