Re: What are you up to?
Well I have some time off work so should get some time in on the econo pickup. I have the rear brakes on the 9" all done, just finishing up the front disc conversion, brake lines are all ran, floor mounted shifter is in and shift cable done. More body work to do on the drivers side but all the panels are in and all welding is done. I have a big ass trans cooler that I have to mount yet and then it should be a roller under its own power.

Down into Dart Canyon, backside of the mountain, next to Lake Silverwood. Gotta stay on the mountain for my job and on-call. 3 1/2 more years and I'm out, retirement, and I cant wait!!

Re: What are you up to?
I think I SCORED today.Guy was parting out a Fiero close to here, picked up a pair of seats.
I know their a lil rough on the covers and need a lil paddin. When I originally asked him how much,he said $20.I was thinkin each, which was way cool with me,but he actually meant the PAIR ! I am kinda gonna miss my 2X8 seat I use now.Not !

Re: What are you up to?
Good score! I paid $50 for a set and $280 to have them recovered! Still cheaper than factory replacement covers at over $400 a seat from a Pontiac dealer. The guy that did mine was a parachute rigger from the Navy and good friend. He did a swell job for next to nothing I thought! From what I remember, the speakers are just 4 ohm and need to be wired for that in order for them not to blow up when you power them! Keep that in mind.

Re: What are you up to?
Had a blast today ! Deb and I got in the parade for the local summerfest!
We had a gallon of candy we tossed at the kids, I got to chirp tires and do revs without getting a ticket ! I didnt take squat for pics tho, was having to much fun. To top it off they had the carshow right after, I got a trophy for being in the top 25 of at least 100 cars, was the only van tho.
Deb was all smiles.

Re: What are you up to?
Seats are from a 72 dodge motorhome, probably a dodge B van? would be the same, the bolts on the seat rails are laid out flat was easy to work with. but I need to find something that reclines for comfort, they were on hand so I used them. and Thanks

Re: What are you up to?
Went to another local summer fest carshow this afternoon. The greeters.
I was between a ford powered Jeep and a 66 Galaxie.
There was everything at this one, I was amazed at the turn out for such a small town shindig. everything from motorcycles to full blown rail dragsters.
There were alot more that came in after that pic, that was 1 row, there were 2 at the time and ended up with a 3rd .Aproblem I see with car shows is the classes some have do not let ya fit in to well. The choices put vans like mine up against stuff like this , and I am not anywhere near that level . But its all for fun .
Jeff from Big Rapids won a trophy with his hippy van but he was smart and entered it in an Unfinished Class.
Had a good time ,, got to see some old friends again.
