maybe this could be applied to any car with leaf springs
there is this jeep for sale and im interested.. in the description it says that it might need a left leaf spring..
if in the case that i do get that vehicle is it possible to change, use, one from another vehicle?

i guess what im saying is that are the leaf springs interchangeable with vehicles..
what do i need to look for?
    lenght, widht? thickness? or.....

    its a postal jeep.. 81dj5

    gracias

As long as it's not the main carrier spring and the spring width is the same should work out ok. pretty ez. I have swapped whole leaf springs and pearches off newer trucks to older trucks, just due to the difficulty finding good pearches, shackles, ect... thats a bigger job. A thicker spring means a stiffer ride, 3/4 1 ton. Hope this helps.

A DJ5 uses the same springs as the CJ does. DJ just denotes right hand drive postal body.
