wheel size - Wheel Questions? Empty Wheel Questions?

Post by wacko Mon Nov 17, 2008 11:22 am

I have some beginner questions regarding wheels. I am looking for some on craigslist and ebay and am not 100% sure how to tell what will fit. When I first got my van I took it in for a safety inspection and was told the wheels that were on it had too large of lug nut holes. I wasn't aware that the wheels had different sized holes, I know you have diferent hole patterns 4, 5, 6. Anyways they never seem to list the bolt hole size? Any advice appreciated on what I need to look for. My understanding is I need 5 hole, 14" to 17" and something to do with backset?

    Thanks

ok after doing some research and reading through the following

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wheel_sizing

Could it have been the bolt circle they were talking about?
Anybody know what the bolt circle measurement on a 1st Gen is?

What does "offset is 10-20" mean? Everywhere I look it is described as -10 or -20 but the is an ad for some wheels that describes them as "offset is 10-20" does that make sense to anyone?
