hi all - this board is awesome! i have a weird issue, maybe someone can help?
there is a metal tube that connects the 'gas filler hole' to the gas tank -however, there is a small rubber elbow hose that makes the final few inches to connect tank with the filler tube.
i sprung a leak in that old rubber hose and could not find the proper type of hose (rated for fuel) that was curved..so i replaced it with a straight hose rated for fuel, but it is pinched when in place and makes refueling VERY slow.
anyone know where i can get a rubber hose that will work in this situation? it's like a 2 1/4" hose..
    thanks

Gates has that hose available..cut to fit. The p/n is 24718 for 2-1/4" ID.

NAPA has it as p/n NBH1057 as well.

    Welcome Tommy,
Your issue is a simple one. Like Nate said Gates or NAPA, The guys at NAPA can cut you a piece on the spot since most of the stores carry stock dia tube in the back.

    Again, welcome.

did different years use different size ? - that hose wouldnt work on my 66 - i used the 24716 which has 1.75 id - http://www.gatespowerpro.com/Comergent/en/US/adirect/gates?cmd=catNavigateFrame&punchInID=600500&CFID=6140812&CFTOKEN=11694527 -click hose and couplings then angled fuel hose- bought it at local carquest - while you are at it do yourself a favor and replace all the vent hoses and the piece that connects from the sender to the supply tube - oo3

That number (24716) is also an option as well. Use per application as they say.

thanks guys, i did look around here at random parts places but no one had hoses that large cut to fit (only bent hoses were radiator) - tho i did not try a napa. i will give it a try.

i do have some pics, i will get them together and post 'em. my van has an interesting history, here is the short of it:
i needed to move from maryland, USA to las vegas a few summers ago. when i checked on one way uhaul truck rental prices i was shocked! it would have been over a few grand with gas, so i decide to buy a used van that could pull a very small trailer. i was not looking for a vintage dodge van (even tho i was driving a '67 dodge dart at the time), but i had always wanted a forward control van. i came across a craigslist ad for the '66 van and i just had to look- bought it for $700, did a few things and ended up driving it across the country mostly via old route 66.
i love it and i am looking forward to fixing it up a bit more, so i'll be around the message boards methinks.
    again, thanks for the info

Great van! Whereabouts from Maryland are you? I'm in Brooklyn Park and my buddy the A-100 guru Brian lives in Harwood near Annapolis.
