Fortunately with my job( Fed Ex), December is always a time of massive overtime. I work 6 days every week and lots of 12 to 14 hour days. I have no life in December but that always helps when the credit card bill rolls in in January. The wife does all the shopping and I work overtime to pay all the bills so it's even, plus I stay away from the mall so that's a huge plus for me.
No huge presents this year but a decent Xmas none the less. I did score some new spot weld drill bits plus a trio set of step bits for quick drilling of holes. They are real time savers and arent cheap either. Im constantly buying van stuff throughout the year so Im not concerned with getting stuff for me at this time of year since I buy more than my share during the year.
Im just glad I can put smiles on the faces of my family for another year during these tough times. That said,Im off to work an overetime day again, just like I ll be doing next Saturday. 2010 marks my 25 years with the company but who the heck can afford to retire these days???
