The wife and I are into 4X4 and offroading. We have a Jeep 4 dorr JK and a Xj Cherokee 99 model. I am seriously thinking of nuking the FIRE VAN and going whole hog on a 4X4 coversion and tricking it out to be a daily driver---- v-8, ARB lockers, full inside roll cage, custom interior, and also It has to cruise the interstate aat speed.... Anyone here ever been involved with doing one up??? I am thinking of getting a 4X4 with a leak spring fornt end and start building it....just wnat to make it bitchin,,,NOT A MONSTER TRUCK,,,,has to be a daily driver----all the bells and whistles too...

Anyone have suggestions--- please e-mail me at bbkb6056@aol.com

A few years ago over on VCVC.org there were a couple of vans that been set-up with 4x4 but ran with rather thin tall tires for fuel economy. I saved the pictures they posted cause it looked so nice, looks like they had some great trips.

I was just out looking at my van and the 99 Cherokee sport I have for a donor car... But that 1/2 ton Chevy Idea is workin for me too... Im gonna look into a 44 also... I am thinkint 4:56 gears and lockers for front and rear too... itll take alot, casue the old burn van is in rough shape,,,but I think itll be one bad ass rat rod 4X4 that'll wreck havoc on the muc and hills and such....It;ll seriously have then cats looking at these southern off road parks we go to with the 09 JK 4 door... I cant wait to get here goin!!!
