Steering Wheels: What works & What doesn't?

Hey everyone I wanting to swap out my OEM Steering Wheel in the 66 G10 and was wondering what stock GM/Chevy steering Wheels would fit from the junk yard? Question

Would love some input on your experiences and or ideas on this before I head to the JY later this week.....

Never heard of anyone putting a wheel from something else other than aftermarket. The smart thing to do is go to the yard with your wheel off. Find something you like and take it off then try your wheel on there.

I have a Blazer/S10 wheel on my 70. Thought it fit well with no mods that I can remember. You even have a choice of a bowtie or a GMC logo on the center cap. The base of the S10 wheel matches the top of the column very well and the gap between the column and the S10 wheel is almost perfect, very nice looking in my opinion and there a dime a dozen at any pick-a-part. I even have an extra one with the bowtie center cap. The only question I see is what the differences in the first gen. columns and the second gen. columns. Also, the diameter of the S10 wheel is only about an inch or so smaller then the stock wheel.
