rubber strip on bottom pan Empty rubber strip on bottom pan

Post by lboast Tue Jan 19, 2021 8:50 pm

I am ready to reinstall the rubber strip on the bottom of the belly pan, since it has been emphasized that this rubber strip is necessary for cooling. My problem is that i don't recall exactly Where and How this was originally mounted. Does anyone have a good picture of the correct installation position for this particular part?

I hope this helps, one picture is of the underside clips used to hold the strip on, I think there were four clips.

Ahh, that#s what those holes are for. Running mine without that rubber strip (belly pan installed). No heat problems so far.

    Thanks for the pics.

I'm not sure if they are being reproduced, but I did find the similar rubber strip on a newer chrysler vehicle in the wrecking yard, that was used as a lip under the hood. It was about 5 to 6 feet long, a d was in somewhat better shape than mine.
