    Steering column Empty Steering column

Post by docmcg Mon Dec 28, 2020 9:51 am

I’m doing some changes to my pickup to include IFS. I need to alter the length of my steering column and need to know some measurements. What I need to know, if someone can provide it, is the length from the dash mount clamp to underneath the bell on top of the column. If not that, then the length of the column from the floor to the top of the column bell without the steering wheel installed. Many thanks, Steve.

Here's the column from my '61 pickup with measuring stick.  Hope it helps. It's an Econoline...

Appreciate the replies guys. However what I need to know is the measurement from under the bell at the top of the column to where the clamp at the dash mount is. From there I can figure how much to cut off on the bottom of the column.
