Is this a stock Rear Seat???

Just wondering if anyone can confirm either way if this is a stock rear seat out of a 66 window van? It is what came in my van and the upholstery is the same as the front seats, however the passenger side folds down and I haven't seen any others like this.

Actually, with that plastic lowering handle it looks more like VW Transporter seat. If you see a tag in German on the inside bottom that should be VW.

Unfortunately, I know more about VW than Chevy which ain't much.

I don't know, I thought VW myself but Mark is right, try to find any tag or part number on it anywhere.



Here is an original first gen seat. I have not seen a fold down option either but that dosn't meen it wasn't availible.

The more I look at it the more it looks VW. The 1st gen set had the angle brace in the legs on both the front and back down to the center.

I will take a look and see if I can find any tags and post my findings

from the responces looks not to be stock, but looks like its a good fit for the van

Most folks get their vans without and find whatever bench seat they can. It does look good.

yeah it is working for now. Got a cheap seat cover on it until I run out of other things to spend my money on.

if its in your van....it is now stock. looks good too.
