Thinking about replacing the non-tilt steering column on by 76 G10 with a tilt one.
Does anyone know anything specific I should be looking for to at the scrap yard to
make sure it fits? Can you also pull one from a truck? What years fit?
Oh and it's an automatic. Any help appreciated, thanks.

    Hi Blackpearl,

Glad you found us, but your van is a little bit too new for this forum.  We focus on '64-70 "early" chevy vans.

You might find better info on vanning.com

That being said, I am no expert on 3rd gen vans, but I would think any of the columns from a 3rd gen would interchange.  I do not think a truck column will work

Thanks for the reply, after much internet research on the topic I couldn't find anything. But the website you turned me onto Vanning had a decent amount of info on the subject. Sorry my van's too "new" for you guys but I really appreciated the help!

I think you are going to want to stay pretty close to model year because there were huge updates to the steering columns during the 24 years of that generation......I don't think the wipers, high beams and cruise control were on the t/s lever of a 76 van and pretty sure the key lock was still in the dash.... Also, later-year columns had the PRNDL for 4-speed auto...... Thanks for visiting us here, but this forum IS for 64-70 info....

I recently acquired a 1977 parts van that has tilt......Keyswitch is in the dash and turn signals, flashers, and horn are the only electrical items on the column....
