Does anyone run the Offy 2x1bbl /6 manifold? I want to try this on my A100 pickup project. I don't expect a huge performance difference, and I don't mind that. This truck probably won't see much extended use and undoubtedly will never be raced. I'd like to install it for the cool factor. Over at /6.org guys say the linkage is a bitch, but I still would like to try it. Anyone using it, and better still does anyone have a setup they would be interested in parting with?

Re: Offenhauser 2x1 bbl /6 manifold
I installed a super six manifold with a Holley 350 cfm street avenger carburetor with electric choke.
I had to use an adaptor plate to bolt the carburetor on. It's a whole lot better than the single barrel and I'm getting about 18 mpg.

Thanks for the reply Uncle Mike. I'd really like to find an Offy 2-1bbl manifold. There are those that really don't favor this setup, but I'd like to try it.

I believe, based on my own experience with the single barrels as well as a wealth of info on the slant6 forum, that those carbs are now very old, and likely are simply worn out, jets and such are hard to source. The throttle shaft bores in the body would be the bigger issue though, excessive wear that no amount of carb rebuild kits will fix. Likely would never run right. Rebush the shaft bores and it might be a different story. Certainly would be cool though

Lady luck must be watching over me! I recently found a fellow over on FABO that had the Offy manifold I've been looking for. Not only did he have the manifold, but he also had two 2bbl Webers and air cleaners too. Got the whole set-up including the linkage. Sweet deal and a great fellow to work with. I'll post more later when I get things put back together.

Hey guys, just found out there is a guy on Ebay selling an old Dodge Seneca, that has an Offy 2x1 manifold with carbs and linkage that he will sell separate. Says it includes air cleaners and a chrome valve cover as well. Auction ends on the 18th. Check it out. I'd post a link but I don't know how to do that!
