Our new 66 Epup Empty Our new 66 Epup

    Post by Bruce67Econoline Sat Jan 30, 2016 5:03 pm

I purchased a 66 epup 3/4 ton 240 auto that Seth G posted in the E vans for sale sectionWell she finally arrived . Don't use Montway transport. After weeks of waiting and a last minute rate hike of $150.00 more to get it here, and then an almost two week with a bunch of delays, and various excuses It arrived this morning. My daughter loves her and Has named her SSSSSSSally. Started a few projects already filled it with gas and she stalled out. I guessed crud in the tank , and threw a fuel filter inline and she started up and made it home. Battery cables are junk but changing them out in the morning. Now lets see if I can remember how to download pictures.

Bet he had fun getting that rig back in your neighborhood. Glad you finally got it. I've seen several haulers do that trick. The will bid low to get it on the truck then hold it hostage to get more money for delivery. The truck looks good and solid. That's the biggest thing. The little stuff can get worked out. Makes me want to plan another trip to Charleston to see it. LOL.

    Duane in Tennessee.

Removed interior, and wire wheeled the floor today. What a mess that was. Over all it's not to bad a few rust through spot, but it will do for now. Tomorrow a coat of POR 15 then some roll on floor liner. New battery cables and she'll be back to running down the road.

Nice looking truck! I really like the wheels!
I've had the displeasure of talking to the people at Montway out here before. Rude is the nicest way I would describe the encounter. I wound up complaining to the bidding site they'd gone through and using an independent flat bed guy who was more than happy to get paid plus expenses covered on his way home... Almost delivered to my door, too (My street is not big truck friendly).

Yes it does have the flip seat with new upholstery. I'm going to redo the interior with a nice Fred Carrello interior. The old(NEW) interior will be sold to help fund it.
