Vista Cruiser roof Empty Vista Cruiser roof

Anyone have any leads on a Vista Cruiser roof section?

Also, does anyone know if you could use the second gen VC roof section? Maybe weld in a strip of metal on each side to give you something to connect to the roof of the van?

your on the right trac, 1st gen is the best, 2nd gen is a lot more work.
adding the extra metal , the biggest problem is always been good glass,
    and chrome trim . .

Vista Cruiser roof Empty It's been done on a Corvair van!!

Larry Claypool, midwest Corvair mechanic extraordinaire, added a Vista Cruiser roof to a Corvair Greenbrier many years ago and still uses his "Vista Cruiser Greenbrier" as often as possible for long trips and short.

The red/white van originally had a leaky TEC travel top, so Larry took that off, welded on the VC roof, and added an early Corvair camper kit.

Here are some images taken at a Corvair convention several years ago (my green/white Greenbrier with a non-leaky TEC top can be seen beside Larry's in the one picture):

Here's another crazy thought, how much of a headache would it be to fabricate your own Vista Cruiser roof?
