Just bought my daughter a 1965 GMC Handi Van and was wondering where to find a windshield and the windshield gasket.  Found a few online but not quite sure if they are the correct parts.  And any suggestions for a place to straighten and rechrome bumpers would be greatly appreciated.  Also, is the Handi Van also referred to as a G1000?

The windshield is just a plain old piece of glass,,an auto glass place will trace your old one on a sheet,  preferably green tinted, and cut it out for maybe $140,,,,,,,,the gasket is same as a 64-66 pick up without the chrome strip in it,,,,,,a precision WBL 653,,,,,,maybe $50 ,,,,,,,GMC calls yours a G1000,,,,Chevy is a G 10,,,,,,,,both the same,,,,,,1/2 ton van.......

Hi, any good old school body shop can straighten bent bumpers, ask around your area. I had a local shop repair my front that was bent like a hockey stick! Problem is after massaging a bumper like that, depending on creases and hammer marks, it may not be suitable to re chrome after that. I opted to have it painted silver so they could use filler, came out great, $200 total per bumper. Good rechroming shops listed online are getting over $300 each these days for quality work. Plus you pay shipping. Bumper boys in CA is large nationwide service but has so so rep for quality, still they get over $200 each, they swap for ones in stock ship or see them at big swap meets, they claim to have earlies in stock...my experiences....I trekked to swap meet to trade mine and the one they brought was for a Ford van and then they offered me 2nd gen in its place and gave a hard time about my $50 deposit, so be careful in the re chromed bumper game! Best ask around the forums for someone selling a set of nice ones, they show up a few times a year or on eBay but nice chrome ones are very rare, hopefully yours can be redone locally, ask the body shops , they will know.

Go to the stylintrucks website and enter "PCNC371305" in the search box to pull up Precision's WBL 653. It's less than $37 after shipping.
