I bought a factory OEM A100 screw type bottle jack. It was stuck, but got it working. I have a question.. under the axle cradle portion of the jack, there is a collar. Does this collar have an extra threaded shaft (like a modern HYD bottle jack) for extra length adjustment for more height? The collar rotates a bit. But I'm not forcing it to move. In fear of breaking the jack assy.

I've never seen a factory jack like your describing have a screw adjustment. that would cost more money.

I'm just asking if they happen to have an inner adjusting screw.

Mine rotates a bit also and never looked any more at it, I wouldn't F with it like you said. I also carry a few scrap pieces of 2X4's just to give me a little more lift in the up position.
