    Hi,
Does anyone know what these larger holes on the insides of the headlight bezels is for?

I just went outside and looked at mine, and I don't have any extra holes. The two small screws that show are only for the bug screen that is separate from the bezel. I'm guessing that screws for the bezel were stripped out and someone added these larger ones two keep the bezel from falling off.

OK...lol...just went back out and looked at my 67 which has no bezels on it, but still has bug screens. Bug screens are held on by to brackets, top and bottom, behind the bezel. The 2 small screws seem to have something to do with the air box that's screwed to the front sheet metal. Previous owner may have just used a bigger screw to help hold that box in place. Camera battery on the charger. If no one posts a pic I will shortly to show bug screen brackets.

This is what I have on my 66 and 67. I hope I didn't over explain what you were asking. But I like lots of info when I'm trying to figure stuff out...lol.... Or if I have never had something apart for repair.headlight bezel Copy_111headlight bezel Copy_211

It's the vent box or heater box attaching screws

Ok, thanks. I will see what is on the inside. Wondering why holes vacant if supporting a heater box..?

I didn't see the extra hole until now but the screws were probably stripped and someone drilled them out and attached with other screws. An interesting side note, the vent box screws and heater box screws are different. I forget which one but one of them uses fine thread screws.

If both sides have that big hole, I would guess that someone had fog lights mounted there.
