Vanner Girl
My wife saved up for about a year and bought herself a 1964 Econoline about 8 weeks ago. It took a while to track down an affordable engine for it in our area but we finally did and today she got to drive it around for the first time. She is in love to say the least with her van. Ive said it before but thanks to everyone on the site that has posted questions and answers about these vans. It helped me get the van back on the road and to put a smile on my wifes face that probably wont leave for a while. Here are a couple pictures from earlier today!

Uante -
Its just a generic emblem you get at parts store like autozone. It says special edition. saving up for the original F O R D emblem but for now it fills that blank space up a bit.

Well, even being a Chevy guy, I have to say I like that van. Whoever designed the headlights on those things deserves a bonus point. I wonder if anyone on this sight has any insight into who might have been involved in designing these....
Vanny got it right... the smile speaks volumes. Nice to see happy new owners....
And those rear heart windows... too cool!
Congrats to you both!

The Econoline was designed by Roy Brown who also designed the Edsel. You can see a resemblance between the Edsel grille and the Econoline headlight bezels turned sideways. The front turn signals are also similar.

Re: Vanner Girl
It is great to see young folks buying and loving the classic Econolines.
We've been talking about having a get together in NC for a while. Maybe this spring.

If you have some sort of event in NC we will most definitely be there! We love these vans and would really enjoy meeting some other people who feel the same.
