Which Econolines came with the Ammeter and Oil Pressure Gauges?

I have seen pictures of a dash panel with gauges instead of idiot lights in the bottom two locations. Was this an option or did they do this on Heavy Duty or ????

I would prefer to have gauges, but both my '65 and '66 vans have idiot lights. Is this is a simple conversion?

I would say not too hard to do. The wiring diagram for the 67 Econoline with four gaugee: www.vintage-vans.com/67fordwiring6.html -from that diagram, you need to add a wire and run it thru the ammeter, and for the oil pressure gauge, buy an oil pressure sending unit and add a wire from the constant voltage unit (about 6 volts) to that gauge

My Econoline is a 67 and I think that the only year they had those gauges. I have an extra 4 gauge cluster I bought on ebay years ago, if you are interested? The speedometer not good but has the 4 gauges FUEL TEMP ALT OIL $25

I just converted mine. Wasnt hard to do just take your time.
I now have 4 new gauges in there and bought a paint pen and did the speedo pointer.
I havent completed the wiring yet as its all out of the van and I want to rework the wire harness.

If you use Presstype White Letters it is easy to put the Fuel, Oil, Temp and Amps back on the black panel.
Most art stores carry these.
I did mine and it was very easy.

My '65 heavy duty has all 4 gauges and the wiring looks old and original.

A lot of the Ford trucks of the same vintage had the gauges.
