Came across this instruction sheet taped into one of my dads 1957 Motor manuals. Thought it was kind of cool.

I've been using Marvel Mystery Oil ever since my dad told me about it, when I was just getting into cars. But I've never heard of this contraption! I usually just put it in my oil once in a while, especially on high-mileage engines. Can quiet noisy lifters. I know they say you can add it to your gas too. (How could one additive be good in both the gas and the oil?! I guess that's where the mystery comes in!) So this must have been their way of ensuring you're always using their product.

I couldn't picture how this thing worked so I did some research. It screws onto a bottle that holds the oil. Mount it anywhere and just run a vacuum line to it. The vacuum draws a few drops of the oil into the intake manifold, varying based on the speed of the engine. Very simple design.
