I have 235/60r15's-front and 295/50r15's in the rear. The fronts rub the drag link but the rears dont rub at all. All wheels are 15x8

I have 235 60 R14 on all 4 now and they do not rub anywhere and plan on putting the same size on the front again.  I really want to run the 295 50 R15 in the back but my tire guys is having a hard time getting them.

Bugman, what is your offset on the 8"? I have 15x8 wheels with a -6, and was also planning on using 225/60's..

    Mr Bugman:

Can you tell me the exact specs of your wheels?  My wheels are mis-matched, and I like how your van sits.  I plan on buying wheels from Wheel Vintiques, but they ask all sorts of sizes that I don't know.

This is what I'm thinking but correct me if I'm wrong:

    12 Series Solid:
    15x7 - 5x4.5/5x4.75 - 4" Bksp (12-571204)
    15x8 - 5x4.5/5x4.75 - 4" Bksp (12-580504)

My van is a 1963 deluxe. Stock height.  Do you think I could run 15x7's and 215/60's all around?  Or will the 15x7 and 15x8 give it a better aggressive stance.

I'd love to lower it, but too expensive for me.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

Sorry that I haven't been on in a while. I will look through the paperwork and get exact specs on the wheels without guessing.

Thanks for the kudo's we do love the combo!

Ok, here's the deal. We bought them from Summit Racing. The fronts are part number WVI-12-571204. 15x7 Smoothies, 4" backspace. Rears are part number WVI-12-581204 15X8 Smoothies with a 4"backspace as well.

    Hope this helps.

15x7 wheels with 225/60 up front and 235/60 on rear, no rubbing and drives nice.

For those running different wheel size front and rear, there's no issues with your tire rotation for tire wear? Side to side is good enough? Or you find yourself replacing the rear more often? I've always done a 5 tires rotation so not used to this different wheel size...

    Cheers

I put 15x7 w/225/60's all around so I could rotate. I think 235/60 BF T/A's would have looked a little beefier, but I was afraid of rubbing the drag link up front on the DS.
