G-Man Memorial Arrangements
I received the information regarding the Memorial Service for G-Man (Chris Hatswell) and it is as follows: The memorial service will be on Monday, May 12th, at 11:00am at the United Brethren Church at 9300 W. Grand River, Fowlerville, MI. Lunch will follow the service. I will be there and I hope to some of you as well. Rest In Peace G-Man.

If I could, I would, but can't. I hope some folks from the vannin community can make it as well to show some appreciation.

Re: G-Man Memorial Arrangements
That would be really nice Tom. Make sure the family knows how beloved he was in the Vanning Family. I'm sure they're aware of it as they know how much time he was contributing to it. I'm sure he'll be looking down with a big smile when he sees you there!

Re: G-Man Memorial Arrangements
From what information I was given there is no visitation. There is only a memorial service and lunch to follow. I will be there and I have heard from several others who will be there as well - even some of our Canadian friends. If I may suggest, I think flowers are a great idea but I know the family could use money for medical bills, etc. I will be setting up a fund for donations from the vanning community. All of the profits/proceeds (50/50 raffle, our other raffle, auction items, etc.)from the Baker's show will be given to the family. If you would like to donate please contact me. If everyone is okay with a "fund" through V-V let me know and I will simply publish my address. You could then mail your checks to me and I can present them as individual donations or as a group donation. Bill.

I think a fund we could all contribute to would be a great idea. If we could help his family with medical bills that would be great.

Re: G-Man Memorial Arrangements
The Memorial Service for Chris' was a nice tribute to a great guy. They had a photo stream running on a large overhead screen in the church and in every picture of Chris he had a big smile on his face. What a happy guy with a smile that just made you want to smile along with him. We had at least 8 of us vanners there representing that phase of Chris' life and a great many more of his family and friends. I will keep you all posted on any further information about donations and the Baker's Show.

Re: G-Man Memorial Arrangements
He lived a short but VERY FULL life! He had such a Positive influence on everyone he met. My only regret is that I never got to meet him in person. Thanks to all the vanners who attended to show support for his family.
