after looking at this, Im wondering if this is a better than fabricating my own trans bracket to the frame.

All help will be appreciated, and going to search the archives.

The 61 Pickup I just bought has a c4 in it I can send you picks of the fabricated bracket when she gets out of the transmission shop.

An underneath bracket is best. Vic (OldSkool) modifies a 1965-1967 engine cross member to put under your C4.

Don't F up and buy a long tail stock C4 like I did or you'll need to hit Vic up for a short tail stock too. I learned the hard way you need a short tailstock C4 or your driveshaft will be too short. If it's too late you already have a long tail stock C4 Vic might be able to sell you a short tail stock. Unfortunately not a super easy swap. You have to take most of the trans apart to get the long tailstock off. I just did it last Saturday.

If I would have found out about Vic earlier I would have bought one of his trans mounts also. Instead I'm dealing with a universal trans mount I have to weld up the ends myself. Not such a big deal but Vic's are all made up ready to bold in.
