I used a notted wire wheel on a grinder to remove the paint and rust.It also worked well on removeing all the glue that held the carpet on the front wheel wells.

The original gage cluster and a bunch of the dash was cut out with a torch by the p.o. and a wood dash installed.Iwill be replaceing it but not sure yet wich direction ill go.Im undecided between some nice redoak, wethered barnboard. or a piece of trim from a sawlog with the bark on the top and bottom.
