Rear Axle and Power Brakes Empty Rear Axle and Power Brakes

Post by VanninBlaino Sat Feb 22, 2014 5:38 pm

Hello everyone! I searched and searched, but I can not find what I am looking for.

First off, what rear axle did the A100 come with stock? Along with that, what should the stock gears be? How can I identify which axle I have?

Also, are any of you guys running power disc brakes? What are you all using for the master cylinders and what would I need to do this conversion?

I'm looking at all this stuff to finish up the brakes/suspension on my van and hopefully be on the road soon! With the engine built, and guesstimating with what we put into it I'm assuming anywhere from 400-450hp. I'm doing 4 wheel disc brakes, using the Scarebird front conversion. I haven't bought the conversion yet, but probably will do so this week with everything else I need to do the entire job. While I'm already redoing everything from lowering my van, I might as well add power brakes.

Thanks in advance for all the help.

They all have the chrysler 8 3/4 rear end. Gears probably 3.36 or near that. The only brake conversion really being done is the scare bird front brake conversion since fronts do 90% of the stopping. There is a lot of different threads regarding brakes that you can search for.

Most all the conversions are disc brakes not power, some of the econo guys were doing the booter, but you need to look over there.
