Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
I'm not seeing that kind of money there, needs a complete paint job in and out, .I'm not a ford guy, So I don't know what the market is bringing, Bondo and paint if your paying someone would go $4 to $ 8 k That puts you about $ 18 k

Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
Looks like a few guys are gnawing at the bit
The Pick Ups seem to bring the high dig. Saw a 61 p/u go at the Mecum Auction for $15,000, however it was cherry and restored to original.

Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
Have to agree with Dix about the price of paint and bondo. No matter what you work on you can expect that. IMO any car or truck that you are going to make nice is going to cost you 20K no matter what. As usual, you never get paid for your labor of love when you sell it. No one ever pays for all those man hours of detail and such.
In the 1st place there never was and will never be a FALCON pickup of any sort. No such thing. He is simply using the term from ours and getting away with it. It really doesnt matter though as its not a Falcon. Right now it seems its working for him and the bidding is getting higher than I would pay for one in that condition.
Especially as I have seen so many V8 conversions that are a joke and have not seen his?? If it was a clean conversion, and the truck was prestine with disc brakes, didnt overheat and no rust at all, AND I was looking for one, it may be cheaper to just get it painted. However it doesnt look that way right now.
Personally, I would like to see the prices go up to $25 k as it would be good for all of us..

Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
A lot of times you will see these go sky high and then once the auction is over, you'll see it relisted cause the deal falls through. Looks like a real nice start to a project but that price seems awful high for the work that still needs to be done...Of course, my opinion only!

Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
The bid's at $13001 and not worth anywhere near it. There's always the fool who will pay a stupid price though. It has the wrong mirrors, seats, van headliner, no tailgate rods, and whats looks to be older exhaust. I think its even a 66,not a 65. Numbers match tag but no mention of body VIN and I've never seen a 65 p/u with the narrow trim. Colud be but doubtful. Only surface rust it says but man its everywhere. Leads me to believe it was poorly prepped before paint.

E10AH768521 is the vin. It's on the title picture... That not the correct spring special trim either.
Like I said they must really want it..

Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
Narrow trim was an option for 65. I saw one a few years ago, A 65 three window with a 240, C 4, and narrow trim. The VIN number put it right in the middle of Spring Special production. It was a parts runner for a local Ford dealer. Black with red interior. I still kick myself for not buying it. They are very rare but they do exist.
I try not to comment on prices. 13g's is a lot to me but the buyer saw the value. Being a V-8 conversion meant a lot to the bidder. Some people just can't do that kind of work. In ten years 13G's won't mean as much. I've always thought you can't pay too much for something that gives pleasure in return. If it makes you happy it's worth all the money in the world. Money will never make you happy but a V-8 Econoline? not that's FUN!!!!!!!

Re: 65 Eonoline P?U on Ebay
I'm glad for him but I'm guessing it might show up for sale again in the near future. Unfortunately, one of the pitfalls of these auctions is that when you see the high numbers like this one, the deal often falls thru and the seller has to relist and try again.

You can also thank the high #s on these auctions on the Mechum, Barrett -Jackson people that push these cars to the limit.Back in the day that PU would have sold for a 1/3 of that price.
