I have run 100 with the hopped up 250 and camper behind it. 700r4 helps a little. I have recently installed a 292 and have yet to open it up on the freeway.

I have a 1968 dodge A-108. its got a 70 cuda 340,a 727 auto, and I recently changed from 3:55s to 2:73s with 30 inch tall 275-70-15 tires.i have had mine to 100 recently. turning 2200 RPM. THEN I floored it just for S&Gs. my poor old speedo only goes to 100. but the needle was no where to be seen !

NO holes just pulled some threading out..!!!. lol! .With the 307 V8 and 373 gears with 28 inch tall tires I have "No Doubt" it will do 120 mph+ but doing 81 mph and not knowing if the cars in front of you are going to slam on there brakes is pretty scary..... A early is sort of like a boat 80mph on the water feels alot faster than it does driveing down the highway in a modern car.. Smile .

Ok, first time on the interstate in the Possum van. 65 mph plus 16 mph winds makes for an interesting trip at 3200 RPM, plenty of pedal left but that's all the heck I wanted. Felt like it wanted to change lanes a few times.

Maby I am wrong but I always say in a Early with a straight axle after about 70mph you are just along for the ride... affraid ...mine cruises the best and the most safest around 65 mph..!!!..And a windy day makes a "BIG" difference...
