    $2.79?

About 2/3's of what we pay here in Australia.

Think about our British friends who pay perhaps twice what you do in the States for a gallon of gas.

I once saw a show that explained gasoline or petro I guess was more in the UK because the distances were less to cross country. That certainly doesnt apply to Australia, i thought that was nonsense i suspect there are fewer refineries?

WOW! that sucks, u may need a Tesla engine conversion in time. 8 bucks, the US ecomony begins to fold @ 4.5 where I live @ $4 although I suspect 10 years from now CNG will be the norm. Fleets are slowly starting to switch over and as a home builder gas and electric service into garages for home filling charging is already becoming a topic or discussion.
I suspect 20 years from now gasoline will be as limited at the pump as diesel.

94 octane is 3.04 here but I'm sticking with ethanol free 94 octane at 3.29g. The difference in MPG saves me $42 every 100 gallons! 81 E100, 300I6 manual 3 speed with overdrive. I dont get it into OD very often.

You guys are VERY lucky to not have ethanol or have the option not to get it.!!! raceing gas is our only option about $ 9.00 a gallon.!!!!  Florida is fighting now to remove the ethanol completly they want to make it up to 15% by 2014 (It is 10% now) witch means 15% will not work in anything older than 2001!!!! All the farmers, classic car guys, marina, and lawn service, (small engines) have started a paticon to stop the ethanols corrosion damage and remove it completely by 2014.... I will keep my fingers crossed.!!!!!!!!!!!!!
