Is this factory...or dealer installed?

I see so many of the same kind of reflectors on the the Early Econolines...and their all the same brand and style?? Is this dealer installed...or factory? Thank you.

Well I do know thats not factory, remember your van has almost 50 years for someone to mess with it. I'm suprised thats all that been messed with

I could be wrong, but all the years here never seen a dealer reflector there, why would you need one there anyway??? the tailight will serve that propose

i googled it and its were the back up light goes

'67 first year for reverse lamps on Econoline.  This I found was an option and installed on many Government and service vans and the pick ups...even the super ext. vans as the pic 2 above shows em too))

I've seen lots of old Econolines, but I've never seen those reflectors.

NO!! aftermarket stuff! 

This was my 64 8 door window van. It came from the factory with the reflectors on the rear. It is part of the ICC light package. ICC stands for Interstate Commerce Comission. It also included the high mounted front turn signals although the reflectors were available seperately. All Goverenment DSO's came with them. This 64 has a goverenment DSO. It was delivered to the USGS. RIP now owns this 64. Anybody could order the reflectors. The ones on the blue van in question do have the wrong gasket installed. Looks like somebody made one for it sometime ago. The original gasket was a thin piece of rubber that dried out pretty quick. Every one I've seen was cracked badly. I've had 13 Econolines over the years. This was the only one with the reflectors. I have seen them on others. Seen many in pictures. It is rare but not the rarest opition. They are indeed a factory opition.

Thank you Econopoor!! But with the gasket issue...I have pics of my 8 door when it was 2 weeks old being delivered with the same gaskets. The Econo's I saw in the scrap yard had the same gaskets...I will try to take pics of them too this weekend when I go back to strip more parts))
