It's Alive!!!!

Spent a few hours getting everything re-connected to the motor in the van I bought a couple days ago. The PO said the motor had just been rebuilt but they they never finished up the details....So I hooked up some portable gas, the radiator, wiring and a few other things....and "BAM" it fired right up......after I figured out why I had no spark. I was amazed at how smooth it ran......

Now on to the fuel tank and a new radiator.

Any one have a dip stick and tube they want to sell?

I know its a good feeling knowing you might have just crossed the threshold of saving hundreds and hundreds of dollars, same thing happened to me,....they said it would run...and it did!

I got the gas tank out and it is not bad at all....I coated it just to be safe.....and it's going back in soon.
Radiator on order, should be here today...
I'll be driving this puppy soon.

What did you use to coat it if you don't mind me asking? And congrats!

Its a great feeling! Just dont load a buddy up inside and say those fatal words "watch this" and stomp it! I did that right after a maiden voyage and tore an engine mount sending the fan right into the rad!
