Tom, even yesterday it was very easy to mention or think of Chris. Especially when the breeze picked up and started rattling the pop ups ! Having the 64 at the shop and a stack of boxed up parts here in my home office. not a day goes by....

Did something different today. Was a prop in a Pin-Up style photo shoot along with a couple of my friends.





I'm light on pics until I get a some from the photogs, Didn't want to infringe to much and this gal I know and she wouldn't care for now.

I like those taillight bezels and that's a fine looking bumper ornament! Do you have a part number on that?

I got a Orange van & nobody see it(Always pulling out ifn front of me???)

soon but not as soon as i would have liked ...      but i'm working on it  

finally got a little play money so took the gas tank for the A up to the radiator shop to be cleaned and coated - said they were busy so may take a week or two - i told them to guard it and not lose it. i was surprised quoted $145. i was expecting at least $200. for some reason. tired of watching my A sit in corner of side driveway pleading for me to restore me plz restore me

I have had to repaint 2 times now monday will make 3 was thinking about a really big chevy barn fire if the next one don't go right !!!!!

What kind of problems you having with the paint job?? Looks better than most of mine

the first coat  came out great    BUT when i but the second color ((the flames))

My daughter and I went to the Vannin' Film show in Muskegon Saturday. Had a great time !

Wow what a drag,your vans going to be Sweet when you get it done(I think it looks cool now)You put a Ton of work into it,don't torch the barn yet.

I can't but all the blame on the tape  tryed to use a wrap for the flames .. the wrap pulled the paint  right down to the medal

Don't feel bad I drive a 40 and 60 ft city bus all day and they pull in front of the bus all day,and the first thing they all say when they run in to bus I didn't see the bus, these people just don't know how to drive here.

Think all of us DIY'rs have made some paint Snafus. I had to wet sand mine after 1st app of paint because wasn't familiar with the type of gun we used. Something else to help with the tape/paint pull is to de-tack the adhesive a bit by running it across your pant leg. Can use pin striping tape to make the first border to mask to also if that would help. Cool layout!

Bummer about the paint, she is going to be a beauty when you are done. Awesome van even if it ain't an e.

I agree, don't get discouraged, Hiwaychild! It looks like it's going 100mph sitting still! It's a Fantastic color combo and it'll turn out Great once you fine tune it. Keep us posted cause I love this project of yours. It's like a real life Hot Wheels van!!!

think i saved the drivers side ??? May have a bit of sanding to do yet


even saved some of the other side but the passenger rear side door has to be striped here the paint lifted ????

I feel your pain. I'm on my third try also, just cant get the flat black to lay even and smooth. Going to do a real (shiny) all over paint job, at least I can cut and buff my mistakes.
