Where could I get a gas tank for a 63 econoline or send it off to be cleaned and repaired ? It's been setting for about 20 years with no gas cap on it .

Re: Gas tank ?
Why get a POR-15 kit and do it yourself?

Re: Gas tank ?
Some radiator shops will boil out your gas tank, THEN you can line it with something like POR-15...

In case you can't find a shop to boil your tank, you can soak the inside with vinegar. I did my tank this way and it works great with no toxins, you can dump it outside. Motorcycle guys have been doing it for years. I also endorse POR-15.

Re: Gas tank ?
I've seen people use molasses to remove rust. It takes about two weeks and comes off with a hose or pressure washer. I've used the KBS Kit after a guy I work with told me about it (he's big into motorcycles). The KBS kit worked fine and it's been about a year with the same see-through fuel filter... It's still good. Here's a couple of pictures... Yes that's truck bed liner on the outside.
