Before I start playing a guessing game, I was wondering what you guys have been buying or using for exhaust headers on the V8 conversions in the First Gen Chevys with an automatic trans. Something else I'm not to up on is what all do you have to change out to go to a short water pump on a V8?
    Thanks Joe

Digz The best kind of headers for these tight space area vans are block huggers

I once had 1970-81 Camaro headers on my 1969 Chevy V-8 Van. They didn't hug the block, but fit nicely. I got rid of them due to too much heat under the doghouse. I personally prefer stock cast-iron exhaust manifolds that seem to put off less heat. Just my opinion.

KC you are very right cast is really the best way to go. Less heat and not changing header gaskets all the time.
