    1) How do I know what size l6 I have? It runs very rough and I want to replace points and distrib cap. Prev owner replaced wires, but may not have made them right.

    2) Where is the vacuum (?) On the back of the power glide supposed to attach to?

    3) Anybody got pics of what the x-member, or whatever, for a power glide in a 67 van should look like? The one in mine is not orig...and I think what's supporting it looks really iffy.

    4) Anyone have a spare flex plate cover? My torque converter is open to the elements.

Cap, rotor, points, condenser and plugs all the same,,,,,194/230/or 250,,,,,, firing order for cap wires is clockwise 1 5 3 6 2 4....... modulator line from transmission needs full manifold vacuum,,,,,look for a port between carb and valve cover or under the carb left side by the doghouse or a T with the PCV valve,,,,,

My 65 did not come with a PCV valve,,,,,it had an orfice tube,,,,,,but I changed it over to a PCV,,,,,but you still need a breather on the valve cover for it to work,,,,or a tube to the air cleaner ......

,,,,it needs air,,,,so unless you have the real valve cover that has a hole on the side of the valve cover right behind the upper radiator hose, where a tube runs back to the top of the carburetor, then use a breather cap not an oil cap,,,,,

There is a stamp to the left and down from the distributor, you can take that number code to figure out what year/size your motor is. Just search for the code.

When I put in my 700R4 I used the TH350 cross member, I just put a spacer between the cross member and the frame to drop it a little. I also used that spacer to offset the cross member forward a couple of inches to get the fore/aft correct. I would think you could find any cross member for the TH350 and make it look more factory if you are worried about it.

(Then again I didnt follow advice in regards to shortening my drive shaft to make the 700R4 fit, I moved my motor and tranny forward the 2 inches required to get the drive shaft to connect to the rear end)
