been researcing this alot with no good answers so my question is were is the best place for a inline fuel filter????? in 69 on the dodge a100 they are underneath the passenger seat area . i've read to install them after the pump. i've also read to install them on a 45 degrees if possible . i've read as close to the carb as possible. and i've read install 2. . at this time mine is in the dog house so i'll remove it from there due to a fire hasard and also the dog house heat. they al have good points for the differnt locations so i'm asking what do you think.??????????????

Get a nice canister (replacement type-like oil spin on ) =put it just by tank. Then a small standard metal type near & after fuel pump. That will keep all happy. cheers

dont have any rubber fuel lines after the fuel pump, theres to much of a chance for fire as hot as the top of our engines get under the dog box, i just have one metel filter before the pump, any more would be ok too, just stay away from those plastic filters

Factory was before the pump, in the rubber line between the body and the engine. It is okay there, but will stall the engine if plugged.
You can also make up metal lines and install it after the pump, but only use a metal filter with the proper compression fittings, since it is under pressure here.

I have one just before and just after my electric fuel pump. The pump is mounted on the passenger side frame rail by the transmission.
