ls vortec with 4L60 IN 1ST GEN

Got a sbc and either 700r4 or 200r4 ready for van But gas now 5.00 thinking of now using my 5.3 vortec and the 4l60e? Just hoping someone has done and know what pully assemblies fit if any?

Hi Bob did you run the 5.3 truck injction and front accesories? I think the oil pan needs to be the ls1? Also did you use the auto from the truck?

I'm running the camaro/firebird alternator bracket for just the alternator. The truck brackets will work but the alt and power steering are all one bracket. I'm also running the camaro oil pan , but the truck pan will clear the crossmember and front axle. The only problem is that the pan is it hangs about 3-4 inches below the front axle. Not a big problem if your van isn't lowered. I took the stock wiring harness out of the truck and took it apart and used just the wires I needed. You are also going to have the computer reflashed(under $100) to get rid of vats(gm security). You can use the truck transmission but are going to have to make a tranny mount, speedway sells a nice drop mount for under$50. Like I said I've done a ton of swaps over the years and this one was pretty easy. The worst part was the harness but , it was done in under a afternoon. Bob

Actually, I moved mine back 8" and down 2" I had no choice my supercharger was sitting where the pass seat was!!!!!!. If you decide you go for the 5.3 I can tell you every piece you need(mounts, exhaust manifolds, etc. Bob

Thanks went to pick up the van i was buying and the guy sold it. Gave me back deposit pissed me off big time. I will keep looking
